Triskaideka Books accepts only completed novels of 40,000 ~ 150,000 words. All books must be in English. Any spelling is fine: US, UK, NZ, AU, SA.

FORMAT: Any font is okay as long as it is black and font size 12. Time new Roman, courier, bookman, etc okay. No fancy fonts thanks. Do not underline, use italics. Use the ruler function on word to indent all paragraphs 1/2 inch (5 spaces) — please do not use the space bar or tab function (if you don't do this and use the tab function or spacebar--we will reject you outright). On cover page, please include Full name, pen name (if used), address, contact telephone number, contact email address, genre, and word count.

We prefer work to be sent in as Word Doc files, either 2003 or 2007. Word docx okay. If you don’t have word use RTF ONLY, do not convert to Word.

With novels, please send the entire manuscrift, with a synopsis before the first page of your book. Please make synopsis 2 ~ 5 pages and don't forget to add the genre on the cover page to the novel. We will read this first. At the end of the novel add a short bio on you, the writer. 50 – 100 words. Write a bio that looks like the one in the books on your shelves. Don’t use one with every link to your recent story sales. That info should be on your homepage. There is a strict word count: 40,000 ~ 150,000. We won’t grumble if you are a few thousand under or over (36,000 155,000), but if you send a manuscript 200,000+ you will feel the wrath of the [delete] button. And we won’t even tell you it was deleted until you send us a follow up email.

Edited. At least twice, with a third pair of eyes going over it. Triskaideka is NOT that pair of eyes. A few mistakes are expected, but riddled with errors just won’t do. Don’t underline, use italics. This is the year 2011. Underlining should be dead except in hard copy submissions.

If you haven’t heard from us in two weeks, send an enquiry email. Mail sometimes get lost in cyberspace. No music lyrics, quotes or any material that YOU DO NOT OWN, no exceptions. Create your own lyrics.

All novels accepted for publication will now be first released in e-book format in all available versions and sold on Smashwords and on Amazon in Kindle Format. Author will get even split of revenue per sale (that's 50% royalty). Statements will be emailed thrice yearly. We’ll never keep you in the dark on where things are going or how your book is doing. You MUST HAVE a paypal account.

Never had a short story of book published before? No worries. We want to see your work. King was unpublished once, as was Koontz and hundreds of others. We may add to these guidelines, so check back before you hit the send button.

Submission are to go here: use this link This link will take you our online submitter. There are several categories, chose the right one. Submissions going to the wrong editor will BE DELETED UNREAD.

WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NOVEL SUBMISSIONS up to 150K and looking for SLASHER fiction, Lovecraft horror, horror, . Tell your writer friends.

A word on Non Fiction submissions: These will be few and far between. But they will be interesting. Triskaideka Books is not currently seeking out Non Fiction titles
